Kundalini Gong Sound Bath & Meditation
Sound is a primordial vibrational energy wave frequency. The sound of a meditation gong induces a state of spontaneous meditation and relaxation, which facilitates the movement of prana (positive life force) throughout the body. On a physical level, the vibrations eliminate tension, stimulate the circulation and glandular systems, and regenerate the parasympathetic nervous system. Listeners experience a sense of connectedness and peace. They are lulled from a Beta, or awake state, into a Theta, or lucid dream state; a state that allows our bodies to heal and rejuvenate. The sound waves gently clear blockages to restore inner harmony by letting go of what does not serve us any longer such as stress and any lower energies as the body balances with healing sound frequency.
Join us for a sound healing workshop using the technology of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, with a mantra especially chosen for deep healing. Harness the healing energy within yourself with 30 minutes of mantra meditation followed by the healing vibrational sounds of a Gong Bath
New to Kundalini Yoga and Meditation? A workshop format is a great way to explore this technology, with extended time for explanation, discussion, and questions. No experience necessary. Wearing white or light-colored clothing is recommended.
Why do we use the gong in Kundalini Yoga?
The gong is a sacred and ancient instrument of healing, rejuvenation, and transformation.
It produces a strong sound wave, almost tangible to the touch, which stimulates the physical body by influencing the surface of the skin and every cell. The gong releases tension and blocks in the body, stimulates a higher functioning of the glandular and nervous systems, improves circulation, and increases prana, our vital life force.
The gong also works deeply on the mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. The gong purifies and quietens the mind. It literally cuts through the linear mind and clears the clutter from the subconscious mind to reveal the radiant and authentic self. It has the capacity to bring us to our neutral mind that is wise and non-judgemental.
Why do we chant in Kundalini yoga?
Mantra is the use of sound to affect consciousness. Chanting mantra produces a specific vibratory frequency within the body. This frequency draws to you whatever you are vibrating. You are like a magnet attracting vibrations to you by what you send out. Let’s send out healing!
